THE THAI CULTURAL DAYS FESTIVAL WAS A SUCCESS
The 4th annual Thai Cultural Days festival held
Sept 10-11 was the best ever, with nearly 6,000 people in attendance
over two days. In addition to the familiar aroma of Thai food hanging
in the air, guests were seen walking around sipping from freshly
cut coconuts while ladies were observed strolling with their parasols.
There was plenty of shopping to do as well at the King
of Thailand’s tent.
Products produced by the “hill people”
of northern Thailand and endorsed by the King was available for
sale. From hand painted parasols in vibrant green, yellow, orange
and pink colors to hand painted collapsible fans made out of Saa
paper, hand made from the bark of trees. These and other products
of the Thailand Royal Project are endorsed by the
King.
The 2007 Thai Cultural Days Festival will be even bigger and better.
The success of the 2006 event was due to our sponsors, vendors,
and volunteers. The Thai American Friendship would like to thank
all of you, who participated at the festival and invite you back
next year.
Thank you again!!
